Equality for Children with Visual Impairment

Angel Eyes NI supports families throughout the journey of their child’s visual impairment, offering guidance from birth to the transition into adulthood. Our foundation, established by parents, ensures emotional support and practical assistance. We help with the early years, understanding the impact of vision impairment, access to inclusive clubs, and support children through their educational journey.

The Core Values of Angel Eyes NI

The Core Values of Angel Eyes NI

Angel Eyes has grown significantly since its inception in 2007 whilst remaining in touch with its core values, which are at the heart of the organisation and form the basis for our strategic direction. Advocate, Educate, Navigate, Innovate.

How we started…

How Angel Eyes started featuring CEO Sara McCracken, with parents and families.

Advocate

We work to identify and draw attention to the barriers of accessibility and inclusion, and campaign for the rights of children and young people who are blind and partially sighted.

Educate

We aim to enable families by providing information and access to training, to raise aspirations, and to make informed choices for their child.

Navigate

We aim to empower families to navigate the complicated support system, to be able to secure the support they want to fit their needs, and that of their children, by maximising the lived experience in our team which is at the heart of all the support we deliver.

Innovate

We are passionate about creating innovative solutions to make a positive impact, and to overcome barriers for children who are blind or partially sighted.

Keep up to date with what’s happening at Angel Eye’s. We will also keep you posted on events, funding and lot’s more.

As a solution focused organisation, we would love to hear from Children and Young People who are blind or partially sighted and aged 8-25 years of age, about their experiences. We would like to shape our future services to ensure your voice is heard and to make sure, we deliver the right resources tailored to your needs.
